I am Dr. Hannah Thibodeau and I am a PA Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about our practice and the services that we offer at Ramous Psychology and Associates. I look forward to providing a range of therapeutic and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults. My approach to patient care is holistic in nature, taking into account the biological, psychological, and social pieces of an individual’s overall functioning. Additionally, my overall practice is based upon humanistic, patient-centered principles in which emphasis is placed on genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that the client is “expert” and should be the primary authority in his/her own therapeutic process. I, as your therapist, seek to act as a compassionate facilitator who assists in helping you on a path of self-discovery, reflection, and improved functioning. I also seek to integrate complementary evidence-based interventions based on the individual needs of my clients, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Social Skills Training, Acceptance and Commitment Training, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Non-Directive Play Therapy.
I earned a BA in Psychology from Washington and Jefferson College as well as a Minor in Sociology. I then went on to earn an MS in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University, and a PsyD in School Psychology from Duquesne University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship in Health Service Psychology at Allina Health in Minneapolis, MN. I then completed my post-doctoral residency through Wesley Family Services in Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout my training and clinical experience, I have provided individual, group, and family therapy across a variety of settings and levels of care. I have experience treating a range of disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults including: Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Conduct Disorder. I also have specialized interest in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum. I have extensive training and experience providing behavioral consultation to parents as well as conducting family therapy. In addition to the psychotherapy services that I provide, I am also available to provide testing services such as: Psychoeducational Evaluations, ADHD Evaluations, Autism Evaluations, and Comprehensive Psychological/Diagnostic Evaluations.
