My name is Kara Kish-Fike. I am excited to have this opportunity to work at Ramous and Associates. I am a certified school psychologist with years of experience in conducting educational and psychological evaluations at a local school district. At Ramous Psychology & Associates, I offer assessment and evaluation services to children, adolescents, and adults. I have expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior. My goal is to provide clients with a safe environment to conduct assessments and determine specific strengths and needs. I want to help clients and families understand any problems they may be experiencing and provide recommendations and resources to assist. I view myself as an advocate for children, adults, and families.
I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master’s of Science degree in School Psychology as well as a post-masters Education Specialist Certificate from California University of Pennsylvania. I currently hold a Level II Educational Specialist Certificate through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. For the past 11 years, I have been employed full time by a local educational agency as a school psychologist. I provide educational assessments, crisis intervention, and consult and collaborate with educators as well as outside agencies. My goal has always been to help students overcome emotional, academic, and behavioral challenges. I collaborate with colleagues and connect students and families with support services and help educators build safe classrooms. I also have assisted in the development of school-wide positive behavior support, student assistance teams, 504 plans, individualized education programs.
Assessments and evaluations offered include: comprehensive psychological evaluations, specific learning disability, behavioral difficulties, ADHD evaluations, challenges in executive functioning, and determining accommodations for work/testing. Gifted assessments and testing for early entrance to kindergarten are also provided.
