Welcome! I am Cloey Layton, a student therapist currently completing my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Chatham University. My academic training and experience across multiple clinical placements have equipped me with the practical skills and steady presence to support clients navigating a variety of challenges. I believe the heart of meaningful therapy is a strong, collaborative partnership. My priority is to cultivate a secure, non-judgmental environment where you feel fully supported, deeply understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. In my clinical work, I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide individuals toward lasting, meaningful change. I provide individual therapy for clients managing a wide array of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment stress, and relationship difficulties. Because no two journeys are the same, I am committed to adapting my interventions to match your distinct strengths, pacing, and personal objectives.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Social Sciences from Portland State University before completing a Master of Arts in Psychology at Chatham University. My clinical training pathway spans multiple doctoral practicum settings, including community mental health centers, integrated hospital systems, and private practices. While my current focus is on providing dedicated individual therapy, my comprehensive graduate training also includes conducting neuropsychological evaluations and facilitating specialized support groups. I am eager to bring this well-rounded clinical background into our sessions to help you reach your personal goals.
